C is for Cookie

The LG Cookie was a big and somewhat unexpected success for LG. Why? Because people who didn't want to spend a lot of money on a phone with a touch screen were able to own one for a small amount. Samsung also tried this, and were reasonable successful with their model Samsung Star and Samsung Star Qwerty.
After this success LG rapidly launched different models in the Cookie series, but they were not so successful.
But things are about to change, because LG is planning to release three different new models within the coming couple of months with all new features including a more than welcome 3.5mm headphone jack and a standardized mini-usb connection. (article here )
One of the models (the LG Cookie Music) even has Wifi. A new feature for the phones is that they are made with a different goal, instead of offering people a cheaper touchscreen phone, they integrated services like Facebook and Twitter to keep people in touch with each other.
Therefore the prediction is that this phone could be even more successful than the original cookie. And by Doing so more and more people will use these alternative media sources for the information they want.
